Not every solution is an out-of-the-box solution
AFM Applications such as Finishing and Deburring which require controlled Edge-conditioning or a special surface contour often need optimising to their special requirements.
Our Development Lab is ready for these challenges. |
The Deburring and Surface Finishing Experimental Lab (DSFEL) develops improved methods of automated deburring and automated surface finishing operations. The Lab interacts with industry to identify and evaluate the problems associated with existing processes and methods of implementation. Jointly with industry and research facilities, the laboratory develops improved methods that reduce process cost and enhance product quality and reliability. The DSFEL research and development activities encompass a range of deburring and surface finishing processes: brushing, buffing, particle blasting, grinding, mass finishing, abrasive finishing. The outcomes of laboratory research and development activities cluster into one of three areas: |
• Design of improved finishing tools and media
• Tool/process selection for improved surface characteristics
• Automation of deburring and surface finishing processes.
Don't hesitate to send us your specifications, with sample parts and/or drawings. We will be pleased to evaluate your requirements and give you fast feedback. |
Send samples and drawings of your parts for trial processing
The success of your Deburring or Polishing operation can be satisfied by us conducting a series of tests using mutliple variables of media type and process parameters.
Our AFM Applications experience and know-how is the key to successful results.
We have the capabilities and the skills that enable you to achieve your requirements ... We make it work! |
