Micro Technica Technologies GmbH, a company known as specialist in
“Solutions for Aluminium Industries” has developed a machine with
which hollow-chamber extrusion Dies can be quick, parallel,
carefully an reliably disassembled.
The new EWT2000 System is based on many years of experience an
investigation in aluminium extrusion plants.
For the production of hollow profile dies, an assembly of two parts
is needed. These two parts are pressed together, holding the
internal profile probe and as well the external die form for hollow
profiles.
Daily thousands of hollw dies need to be separated. There is
atremendous demand for a safe and cost effective system.
The handling with tese two die parts is causing problems and
difficulties during the final finish of those dies in the tool- and
diemaker shops and even more problems during the reconditioning of
such dies (correcting and repolishing shop)
If manual or machined reconditioning and cleaning of dies, however,
hollow dies need to be disassembled few times.
The method used until now, namely the separation of such hollow
chamber Dies with “hammer and chisel” has serious disadvantages: The
unsymmetrical application of the parting force results in sticking
and tilting of the Dies to be separated, when even a slight tilt of
the two parts leads to damage of the contour of the Die and the
mandrel. And not least, the experience has shown that manual opening
is a high risk procedure for those carrying it out.
The automatically controlled and adjustable opening system not only
consistently opens the dies safely and without damage, but is also
much faster. Because of the smooth and parallel opening system die
liefe is extended considerably.
Thanks to the full controlled, automatically and exactly adjustable,
and in the uniform way that the parting force is applied at the
circumstance of the extrusion Die, titling of its two portions and
uncontrolled springing apart are prevented. The simplicity of the
operation and the safe opening achieved greatly facilitate the days
work with extrusion Dies. Wear on the closure passages its no longer
non-uniform, and this considerably prolongs the lifetime of the
extrusion Dies.
- Totally flexible – any size of hollow die can be accommodated
- Becomes an integral part of your die-shop
- The design allows parallel opening of the die plates
- All moving parts are guaranteed to eliminate safety hazards
- Drastic reduction in time
